The Build-a-Cage is the most flexible high quality crop cage on the market. Its ingenious modular design means the cage can be extended in any direction (see our extension kits) allowing you to build a cage of almost any size for growing most types of fruit, veg and plants. These 1.25m tall cages are available in a range of sizes and come complete with 20mm mesh bird netting. Perfect for gooseberries and blueberries but can also be used for strawberries, salad crops and new plantings.

These cages come with everything needed to for assembly, including: aluminium tubes, tube connector balls, tube foot spikes, netting and netting pegs. Please note: The cage tubes should be inserted into the ground by 5–10cm, or deeper where required, to provide a stable installation. The exact insertion depth will depend on your soil conditions. If the ground is particularly hard, dry or compacted, we recommend loosening or lightly cultivating the soil first to make insertion easier and help achieve the required depth.
